Scooperbowl and New Arrivals!

GPA-Richmond attended the Science Museum of Virginia's annual Scooperbowl on Saturday, June 21st. The dogs and humans got ice cream while letting everyone know how wonderful these hounds really are!

On Tuesday, June 24th a group of volunteers played hookie from work for a few hours to great 6 new greyhounds to Richmond.(And for everyone who knows Gil..No..this isn't Toby in the tub!)We received 6 beautiful hounds from JCKC

Bobby's Just Up a 4 year old male is adopted and ready for his new homeBlues and Royals is a 4 1/2 year old male who is also heading to his forever home!Over Reaction is a little 4 year old female who is adopted and loving retired life!

We also received 3 new arrivals who are looking for their forever home!!

Kelso's NormaJean is a 3 year old cat safe female who jumped out of the van smiling with her tail wagging! She is a happy, go-lucky girl who is in a foster home with small children and doing great!!

Zam Corbin is a handsome 5 year old cat safe male who is laid back and sweet. He will do great with small children!Guzon Bae is a striking 2 year old cat safe female who is playful and sweet with VERY distinct markings.

Woofstock 2008 and Belle island walk

The Richmond Animal League held Woofstock 2008 at Innsbrook Pavilion on May 31st. GPA had a tent and many volunteers gathered to show off the hounds.

It was a VERY warm day. The neighboring group had graciously provided baby pools full of ice water. The greyhounds found this VERY inviting!

We were beside the local Great Dane Rescue group. This beagle knows how to stay coolIt was a great event! Everyone was exhausted!On June 1st, some GPA adopters gathered a Richmond's Belle Island for a Sunday morning walk.
